VOLT® Brass Bully Turret Top MR16 Well Light

The Brass Bully Turret Top is a sealed outdoor lighting well light with a protruding shield that directs light in 4 horizontal directions. The light source is an mr16 lamp. The socket is mounted on an adjustable gimbal so the lamp angle can be adjusted. The top is thick solid cast brass. The commercial outdoor lighting application glass lens is flush with the top so water cannot puddle. There is a thick rubber gasket between the top and body of the well light for a water tight seal. The lower canister is completely sealed -- the round lead wire uses a waterproof pressure fitting to insure water cannot enter from the bottom of the well light fixture. Install it with our Heavy duty PVC Well Light sleeve which provides a durable housing for all Brass Bully fixtures.

  • Q:

What is the stand-over/drive-over rating...want to line a drive with these and tell the customer whether a car tire or riding lawnmower will break the fixture.

      A:

We do not have a specific drive over rating. However, the fixture should be fine for lawn mowers and children activity in the yard. We do not recommend driving over the fixtures with a vehicle.

Good overall, some seal issues

Comments about VOLT® Brass Bully Turret Top MR16 In-Ground Well Light | Low Voltage Landscape Lighting:

Everything is fine overall with it's construction, work well. The only issue i have is condensation and leaking around rubber cap seal. I've bought hundreds of these, some leak and some don't no matter what is done to adjust seal, tightness etc. A different seal or system to seal may help issue.

Great New Addition

Comments about VOLT® Brass Bully Turret Top MR16 In-Ground Well Light | Low Voltage Landscape Lighting:

The arrival of this light into the range was perfect timing. I had a large gravel area that was viewed from second floor balconies and was just a big "black hole" at night. Placing these lights in the gravel threw a nice diffused light over the gravel and resulted in a very creative look to the whole area.

Poor disbursement of light

Comments about VOLT® Brass Bully Turret Top MR16 In-Ground Well Light | Low Voltage Landscape Lighting:

The look and construction of this top is of the same great quality as all of the rest of Volt's products. However, the light disbursement is fair, at best. We used these to light a path from our patio to the pergola but we had to switch them out since the light that was emitted was barely noticeable, especially with the 3 watt LEDs. While Volt did agree to sell us just the tops of another well style light, I feel they should have taken the Turret tops back and refunded the money given that it is a poor design.

too bright

Comments about VOLT® Brass Bully Turret Top MR16 In-Ground Well Light | Low Voltage Landscape Lighting:

The build quality is exellent but the light pattern is not and the optional filters for diffusion dont make a bit of difference in light output or glare. Even with the lowest wattage bulb this light has too much glare for my taste..its not terrible but i was looking for a very soft and subtle path light. If you need more light, or depending on your placment it may be a good choice but i think it should use a heavily frosted lens to mute the output..the optional "frosted" lens does not make a difference.
