VOLT® Ground Hog PAR36 Well Light

VOLT's® Ground Hog Well Light is great for installing in turf or mulch beds for an assortment of uplighting applications. Perfect substitution for a spotlight where an in-ground fixture is desired. Low profile design keeps the fixture hidden but results in highly effective lighting. Truly the most affordable high intensity lighting fixture on the market. Uses a halogen or LED PAR36 lamp up to 35w.

Features & Benefits:

  • Choose 48" standard or 25' hub-ready 16 gauge, SPT-2 (pigtails) lead wire.
  • Reversible PVC tube --- Angled or flat glare guard on top.
  • Optional Debris Cover for bulb protection (only for use with 20W and 35W lamps).
  • Requires VOLT's® Low Voltage Transformer (Sold Separately, click HERE to view)
  • UL & cUL Listed
  • VOLT's® Lifetime Warranty

NOTE:

  1. Open design well lights (and well lights in general) should not be installed in locations where they can become filled or covered by leaves, pine needles or debris. They should be installed in regularly maintained areas to insure they are free and clear of debris. Failure to do so can result in dangerous overheating, premature lamp or fixture failure and even risk the possibility of a fire.
  2. Do not use a debris cover with any halogen lamps over 35 watts or it can cause dangerous overheating. Halogen wattage's above 35 watts in this fixture require the fixture to be open and well maintained to dissipate the heat. With LED PAR 36 heat is no longer an issue.
  3. In a professional design, it is rare to need more than 35 watts of illumination 50 watts and above leads to hot spots from a design perspective and over heating for fixtures. If you need more light than 35 watts, you likely need more fixtures, not more wattage. However with our LED par 36 you can now get much more light from a single fixture at a fraction of the cost.

Nice lights and happy with the results. Purchased 10 with the 35w halogen lamps and there is plenty of light to light up trees and the house. The directions included with the fixture are a little confusing and had to place 3 phone calls to tech support to make sure the fixture was setup correctly. There is a extra stainless steel piece that doesn't need to be used and was confused as to what is was for. It wasn't needed and saved them if an extra lens is added.

After some bending, the stainless steel lamp holder has a firm hold.

House and trees look great and the neighbors have taken notice of the added beautification of the landscape.

I would definitely buy again!

Price was right so I took a chance. Light was a bit difficult to assemble as instructions were not clear. Light is not affixed to holder and bulb can slide up and down requiring adjustment. Working perfectly right now but we'll see how it performs over time but at this price you have to give it a try.

Comments about The Ground Hog PAR36 Well Light | Low Voltage Landscape Lighting:

I have a professionally installed system with 20 well lights. Three of the lights warped for no apparent reason. Rather than going back to the dealer I purchased 3 well lights from Volt. I couldn't be more pleased. They feel much thicker & the quality seems much better.|The brackets from the original well lights fit perfectly so they were a snap to install. Great product.

I have 25+ well lights in the front back and hammock area. Replaced well lights that were fixed/non-adjustable that cost an arm and a leg. The Volt lights fit the bill in every aspect.

This light was used to illuminate a waterfall. It replaced a smaller 50 W fixture. The 35 W was more than sufficient.

allows for easy adjustment of lighting angle and height so all lights in the system can have an equal dispersment on the building while not allowing passerby to see the bulbs for very proffessional results

Comments about The Ground Hog PAR36 Well Light | Low Voltage Landscape Lighting:

The lights are substantial so I believe they will hold up to the weather. The only reason they have 4 stars is that the picture shows a glass lens included in the package when it doesn't actually come with one.||They were easy to install and adjust. The 25' of wire they come with is also a nice addition to the package.
