Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Can this be mounted facing up, completely exposed?
They are excellent lights but I would not recommend it. If you look at the instructions, the lens cap is screwed in on two sides on the intended lower end. Any gasket exposed directly to he sun's heat would degrade over time allowing moisture to penetrate. There is no weep hole that I can see. Water would sit on top of this lens until it evaporates or leaked into the bulb compartment. When pointing down, moisture would roll or drip off avoiding the lens seam.

Should you use the 12V or 15V connection in the transformer for these?
I use a Vista variable voltage power source that allows 0-15 volts for these lights. I find that I rarely use the 15 volt setting because these light fixtures actually are too bright. I understand that a company named Rachio has come out with a reasonably priced 3 zone controller that might be worth into.

What's the wattage of the fixture?
Any where from 1.5 W to 4.0 W depending on the bulbs you select

what size masonry drill bit do I use for the anchor that is included in the packaging and referenced in your how to video?
My mounting was a side mount on a modular block wall. I didn't remove any blocks. I used a 1/2 inch drill bit to go all the way through the wall at the nearest seem in order to run the wires to the other side. You can match the anchor size provided to the drill bit needed for mounting.

What wire do I use, the Details and the Specifications mention 2 different wires. I need to add length. Regards JS
The two wires mentioned are lead wires, in other words the wire attached to the fixture itself that eventually gets spliced to the main run when you install. When you order, you have the choice between
-a shorter 4 ft length attached
Or If your landscape run wire is farther away from the install location,
-a longer 25 ft length attached
I opted for the 4 ft wire since bringing your landscape wire run to the device is a more flexible option, especially if you have multiple devices to wire up in a row.

What is the standard recommendation for space in between these lights in a row? I am installing them on a straight 14 foot sitting wall with blue stone cap on top.
We placed our 6' on center.

This is a 12V fixture.

Do these fixtures come with a bulb or do i need to purchase separately?
You have to buy a bulb separately. You do this through the ordering process which has different bulb options. you can also decline to purchase a bulb and purchase it locally but their builds are rated for 40000 hours

Amazing lights!
I am absolutely convinced that Volt Lighting is one of the best landscape lighting companies. They advertise that they will ship the item on the same day if ordered by 5pm and let me tell you that it's unbelievably true. In a day and age where we are spoiled by prime 2 day shipping, Volt sets the bar even higher. I've ordered from Volt 4 times and they've consistently impressed me with how fast they ship out the products. Ok, now let me talk about the product :) The rotatable hardscape lights are amazing! They are built solid with quality craftsmanship and the light output is phenomenal. I got these wired in with many max spread path lights tied back to a low voltage transformer and there are no issues. I added the hardscape lights under the capstones of a walkway border wall. It perfectly illuminates the walkway. The rotatable feature is a game changer because it allows you to shine the light in multiple directions easily. I appreciate the fact that Volt has well described how-to videos on their site. I have gotten so many compliments from family, friends, and neighbors! Thanks Volt for making a quality product! I will be making more purchases from Volt for other various projects in the near future.

Maybe 4 or 5 stars in the proper application
Ok, maybe 4 stars would be better for the quality aspect. But, this light is best for lighting up the top bits of a column that is lower than your eye-sight line when sitting anywhere near it. I tried to light up the front of my fireplace with it...the light washes out after a foot or so down...probably a misuse by me. The quality is typical Volt great.

Nice fixture but cheap screws
Product functions as described. However, fixture does not come with brass machine screws as seen with the fixed undermount hardscape light. The screws are not even marine grade stainless steel. My magnet picks them up immediately. Fixture should last a long time in coastal environment but not the screws unfortunately.

Solid Light
I needed a light that was going to be permanently placed in a hardscape (stone wall). I also did not want a light that didn't allow the light bulb to be replaced. This light was solid, allows for bulb replacement, and looks really good.

I will definitely buy these lights again!
I used a few of these lights to light up a set of stairs and I love being able to turn the lights to light up the steps. Only thing I'd like to see is the wire coming in from the side allowing the light to move easier.
