Will they work at 12 volts ac

Yes, they are designed as a 12 volt system (low voltage) But it requires a transformer that is plugged into a normal outlet (110 volts). The output from the transformer is 12-15 volts which will power your light fixture. Which is a low voltage light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garden lights I purchased these lights to replace some lower lumen ones already in place. The lights are robust, very well made. Excellent sealing system with 2 o rings, one on the housing and another on the light module. I set both lights to maximum brightness and the bright white color temperature. Both lights failed within 5 minutes. I emailed Volt customer service and within 20 minutes had a response. They agreed there was something wrong and I had two replacement light modules the next day. Really exceptional customer service! The new modules having been working fine. I set the brightness to 75% as I am concerned the voltage drop in the line may cause a higher current that would cause the module to fail.
