Can these LED's be used with a LED Driver that is producing DC?
Yes is the simple answer. It gets complicated when you start factoring how many and distance. A transformer is stronger than a driver.

i need to replace some bulbs but am very confused with numbers....the bulb has the following numbers on side MR16-20-27-60C-R1 11-16V.0.4A,3W................................PLEASE HELP....MANY THANKS
You need a 12 volt 3 watt rated MR16 LED bulb is all. Then just pick what color temperature you wish. For reference, the 11-16V means the working voltage range is 11 to 16 volts and it pulls 0.4 (400 milliamps) of current (this would make it an LED bulb). The 3W means 3 watts of power consumption, or in laymen's terms is how bright the bulb is.
I'm going to take an educated guess here and assume the -20-27-60C part means 20 watt incandescent equivalent, 2700K color temperature, 60 hertz cycle (low voltage AC voltage).
Just make sure the color temperature matches so it will look like the rest of your landscaping lights. If you aren't sure what the color temperature of your existing lights is, buy a bulb with selectable color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 4000K, etc) and then just trial and error it until it matches, but I bet it's a 2700K, which is the equivalent of an old school incandescent bulb (soft warm glow). This is the color temperature intelligent educated people choose who prefer their home to look more like an estate than an industrial building.

I want to uplight my house. What light and bulb should I use if I want the light to cast 2 to 2.5 stories?
I use an MR16 5 watt in elevated fixtures,mounted approx16 ft up my king palm tree trunks, and they cast a good light up another 16 ft or so to light up the palm fronds

How can I tell what the color temperature is on my existing bulb? Full code is MR16-50-27-60C 11-16V 0.8A 7W R1 201810. How do I determine color temperature from these values?

I would buy this product again, with managed expectations.
Lights are great when they work, which I normally get about 12 to 18 months out of these bulbs using a Volt transformer. In my opinion they are not ""lifetime"" bulbs, however are exactly what I was looking for and will continue to use. Volt has been good to work with and have replaced bulbs as necessary when I've called to inquire. Although I give the bulbs only three stars, I would give Volt five stars for their responsive service.

Do not buy these LED Bulbs. They burn out very fas

These bulbs are not forever bulbs. Maybe a month bulb.
Would not recommend these bulbs to anyone. They burn out very fast.
I am a landscape contractor and have installed and replaced all of these bulbs more that once
My customers aren't happy and neither am I.

3W is enough light!
Initially ordered the 7W bulbs to light palm trees...the I checked a 5W and the 3W versions and the 3W provides MORE than enough illumination. The 7W tends to over high the palm...looking almost white although all were the 2700 warm light versions.

Longer Life expected
Bought two Volt fixtures and these bulbs to light an entrance sign for a community. Lights are on a photoelectric timer which turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. One bulb went out after 3 yrs and 3 months, the other still is working. I expected a longer life from these bulbs which are expected to last 10 yrs and 40K hours. Called Volt for a replacement under their lifetime warranty. Great customer service and new bulb was sent.

Did not last for 4 months with light daily usage
I bought these earlier this year. I installed them in G2 Fat Boy Spotlights. After about 4 months of light use they are dead. The lights come on at dusk and go off at midnight, so about 4-5 hours of use daily. I have other LED bulbs have been working fine for 4 years now.

Great replacement bulbs and super quick delivery
Replacing LED bulbs in my 3+ year landscape lighting....most of the bulbs appear to be nondescript, as in 'no manufacturing ID info'. However, found one that had burned out with VOLT info. Ive ordered two batches and replaced about 11 bulbs. Obviously, didn't get 30,000 hours out of most of them, but its better to have those that work, period. Ordering from VOLT was easy, and delivery was super quick. Pleased.

Thank you Volt, I would like to write a review. I'm very impressed with Volt and their LED MR 16 lights. I have several outside garden lights that were Halogen Bulbs and over time they get dim and lose their effect, but the electrical cost stays the same to run then. I went on line looking for LED lights and stumbled on Volt, just the name stopped me, what is a Volt?? Well Volt is the answer to all my lighting problems. Big box stores couldn't answer my questions like what's the light pattern when it's lit? Is 30 watt too bright for this wall? That's a nice light fixture but its plastic, have you got it in metal? All my questions were answered on line, the website is people friendly and boy do they have answers, even to questions I didn't know to ask. Once you know what you want, ordering and delivery is smooth and simple. Yes I do like Volt and I will order from them again.
