Questions & Answers (Q&A)

Is 2700K Micro Dot Indicator Light (Bronze) waterproof as in I can use these in a waterfall to light it up?

They are waterproof, but I am unsure if they are designed to be submerged. Volt does offer submersible light fixutres.

Do these only work with Volt Low voltage transformer? Or can I retrofit to another system? I had BoldPro Ruby mini's installed last summer and over half of them have already failed. Can I use their LV transformer? Need replacement lights

Asked by: ZJK12
The microdot works with any 12 volt transformer system.  It does NOT necessarily be VOLT!

Can the micro dot be installed as downlighting

Asked by: Ron
Theoretically, yes, it depends on what you're mounting it into. If you’re attaching it to aluminum soffit or similar material, you might need to be creative to keep it secure. For a new build, installation is straightforward, but with an existing structure without new soffit, it can be more challenging. I recommend mounting a 2 x 4 in the desired area and making test holes to ensure the light fits snugly and won't fall.

Can these LED bulbs be changed if they burn out? Or would you have to change the whole fixture? (I see most of your other lights have the bulb purchased separate, these seem to be all built in) Thank you.

Asked by: Nico
The Micro Dot is an integrated fixture and the LED's are non-removable.

Can this be installed in concrete porch cap? I can run wires and conduit to the 1 inch sleeve.

Asked by: Dave G
I ran all my wires in conduit then I used a inch and a quarter adjustable sleeve that can be adjusted for the greater concrete and reduced it down to a three-quarter inch so I could glue the three-quarter inch tube they provided into the sleeve
