Why would half of 1 bank loose its connection? In testing with a ohm meter i get nothing between one side of the black mounting clip and the other. The other bank is fine.
If you have more than 8 lights attached to the junction box, it’s easy to unintentionally attach both the positive and negative wires of the same light to one terminal. I had 10 lights connected to one junction box. With 20 individual wires in the box it’s an easy mistake to make. I decided to simplify my life and add another junction box.

Will the Volt Pro Junction Hub connect two 12/2 landscape gauge wire in a pass-thru home run and five fixtures using 18/2 gauge landscape wires with the pass-going to a second Volt Pro Junction Hub with another five fixtures?

Can i run a 10 gauge wire from my transformer to a hub and then another 10 gauge wire from that hub to a second hub? To me that is "daisy chaining"? Thanks
I don’t see any reason why not. When I run the wire from hub to transformer there is no different connection in the hub for the transformer vs your actual lights. Never really thought about it. I usually just run the second hub to the second hook up on the transformer. In hindsight, it would have been a little quicker to go hub to hub as my 2 hubs are right next to each other.

Can you connect up to 5 mainlines (5) 12ga, so they then branch out to other hubs connecting pigtails? What’s the maximum number of mainlines that can be connected along with pigtails too?
I have a 600 volt transformer, I used 14ga wire and have 9 mainlines running from it, that go to different parts of my yard and then have lights pigtailed to each mainline. I will give you a tip, the volt pro junction hubs are the easiest to use to pigtail several lights to a mainline. They cost a little bit, but they make the hook up so easy. I even split out my mainlines into two of them, then just ran one wire from each to the transformer, instead of a bunch of wires in the transformer. The biggest thing to watch is how many lights you pigtail so you don't overload your transformer. Watch the voltage and watts. If you are using low voltage, you should have no problem with a large transformer. Hope this helps.

How many fixtures can I connect to this HUB?
I found 4 was all. When brand new, checking the “ports” with a meter, it appeared to have 8 ports connected. Once I started connecting the cables, I found the 2nd 4 ports were not longer in common with the 1st 4. I actually got another hub, and it worked the same way.

Excellent Decision to use these in my design.
Absolutely recommend using these junction boxes. I could have ran all my lighting from light to light, but decided I wanted home-run connection back to my transformer and then distribute to my lights. This may have required me to use a bit more wire, but I figure this afforded me the opportunity to grow my lights if needed or easy isolate and troubleshoot any problems in the future. Since I was using LED lights for everything, I decided to add a second junction box to connect the furthest lights with a home run connection to the first junction box. Used 12/2 for all wiring. No issues with eight (8) wires in the box.

poor connections
The connectors on the electrical bus inside the hub are not good - at least for heavier gauge wire. Advertised to accept up to 10-gauge wire. I need to use 10 gauge because of the length of some of my runs. The main goal in wiring is solid connections. Couldn't get a solid connection in some of the slots. Maybe this would work better with 12 or 14 gauge. Also, the little plastic tabs that open and close the connectors are fragile. Got so frustrated with it I ended up taking the connection bus out of the housing and just using the housing as an above ground junction box with a stake and made my own connections inside the box using a different method.

As advertised, not the expected junction hardware though
The product was easy to use, and provides the weatherproof power bus that I needed for my setup. However: I purchased this after buying and setting up a Volt transformer with the excellent clamp connect junctions, and I was a bit disappointed to find that the junction hub doesn't have clamp connect, but rather an array of Wago-type connectors, which aren't up to the same quality and ease of use as the clamp connect system. I'd love to see Volt offer this product with their clamp connect system, which is far superior to anything on the market.

Great product for the right situation
This hub worked perfectly for me on one of my runs. I was able to locate it between 5 lights that all had extra long wire. If the lights do not have the extra length, it makes it harder to use this hub. But in my case it was perfect. Very quick hook up and will be easy to add lights in the future if need be. Out of the 4 different runs I had, this was the only run where the hub would work. The other areas have lights that are too spread out. So it works great for locations wjere the lights can all reach the hub, but if the lights are too spread out itnis not a great option.

Wishing for a different design
I just did my first install, and used three of these. The quick connect feature works great, super secure and easy to use. The issue is all of the connections are in the lid, so you're unable to open the hub for troubleshooting. Cable slack has to be buried / unburied. If the hub isn't flush with the ground, all wires are vulnerable to weed-whackers / rodents. Keep the connection method, rework the form factor.

This is my second kit purchase. The first was for the front of my house last year. 6 Fat boy lights, transformer, and 2 walkway lights. I purchased another 6 light kit this year for landscaping on the back half of the house. Installation was straight forward however a couple of quality issues were different this year. A couple of the screws for the fat boy light case were not threaded correctly- volt did send a replacement at N/C but took a week to get it USPS. I purchased an extra spot light and both the hub and spot light cases although functional were lighter weight and smaller in size suggesting some quality and cost reductions so we will see how durable and what life span these pieces have.

Made very sturdy and you can tell its good quality product. Hub is easy to connect home run wires and fixtures too. Literally plug and play. Also easy once home run is connected to use voltmeter to check what voltage reading is coming into hub. The only downside is that once all 8 connections are made it is really hard to stuff all the wires back into the box and have the lid stay on tight. VOLT should add a clasp to the lid to keep it secure. I had to add electrical tape to keep on tight.

New design is not user friendly
Should have never changed from the last ones. Very difficult to put wire in then clamp then try to pull excess back through the bottom. Needs the space the last generation had. Very poor design. I install several pro hubs a month and now will likely have to look for a better option as this new model is worthless
