When paths intersect, good lighting becomes essential. In this project, master lighting designer Tim Ryan finds the perfect location for two path lights – VOLT® Max Spread Path & Area Lights.
Note how the lights illuminate both the path and the garden beds that surround it. It is essential to light enough of the region to visibly establish the path in the context of its nighttime surroundings. The Max Spread path lights have especially broad hats that reflect the light over a wide area.
Also, the stone pillars at the end of the path show a type of hardscape lighting. Two lighting fixtures are installed – one on each pillar. These are VOLT® Undercover Hardscape Lights. Installed under the capstones, the lights project a highly diffuse beam that illuminates the stairs at the end of the path.
