The motion sensor is only works when standing directly in front of the light. Is there something that need to be done to have the 15 feet motion range?

Asked by: Walker
Try putting a level on top of the light and adjust it to make certain it’s horizontal to the ground - yours might be tilted downward? Mine works from 15’ and senses motion at almost 180 degrees?

Do these need direct sunlight, or can they be placed in an area (sidewalk on north side of house, in between neighboring house) that gets partial sunlight throughout the day?

Asked by: Mike
For optimal charging and illumination, it's recommended to place solar lights in locations that receive direct sunlight for at least 4 to 6 hours daily.

Can these be not motion sensored but come on automatically at dark and stay on till power is diminished from the solar panel

Asked by: Wags
The Solar Motion Sensor Pathlight can only be activated by motion. If continuous motion is detected, the light can remain on for up to 2 hours before deactivating to conserve energy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice and simple to use I bought two of these solar motion lights. They are very well constructed. I installed at each end of my patio using the stakes. They are meant for deterring night critters like cats and opossums. The light is bright and very effective at lighting the area. It also turns off in a reasonable amount of time. I’ll be purchasing more of the solar lights to replace existing lights so that I don’t have to mess with the wiring. My experience w Volt has been great. Solid products that are much better built and at a more affordable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solar experience This is my second purchase thru Voltz, the backyard lights are excellent. I am now 2 months in on this purchase and I am very satisfied. The solar pathway lights are excellent quality and look great. Prior products are not nearly as good and are cheaply made and would last just one season. My experience with Voltz is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Volt Solar motion Sensor Light I got 2 of these to try. They work well so far. Bright enough and easy to use. Attractive as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from suggestion wish the motion sensor could be eliminated or turned off -- would prefer this design with an on/off switch

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light is fleeting in Pacific Northwest These are good-looking, solid little units. It took a while to get mine to work effectively. Perhaps they weren’t getting enough solar charge (since it’s been overcast/ rainy and they are partly shaded), but initially they only come on intermittently. Now, with longer days their performance has improved and I am ordering a couple more. Hopefully they will continue to work, even on short, dark days. Fingers crossed!
