Can you tell me how tall the actual glare guard portion is above the main ring? I have mine recessed in my lawn and I'm trying to gauge whether or not the lawnmower would hit it or not. Thanks!
MattH, I've had the same concerns about the same light. I've elected to install the lights without the glare guard. I believe my riding mower will hit the shield at some point, given Murphy's Law. I don't have the exact height, but I believe it's about 1.5 inches. I often forget my mower's cut height because I change it for different areas and the two inch setting that I use a lot would like hit. Be safe, omit the guard unless you use a weed eater versus lawn mower.

Is Salty Dog Shielded Glare Guard (MR16/Integrated LED) compatible with the previous generation brass bully well light?
Yes the salty dog glare shield is compatible with older fixtures. My neighbor was throwing out some fixtures that were installed by a previous owner. I re-used those fixtures and changed out the turret tops with the new glare shield.

Is the specified 4 inch diameter the inside diameter (opening) of this sheild? My porch light's outside diamerter is 4 inches. Will this shield slip over my 4 inch diameter porch lights?
I have the shield that came with the same company’s matching base light that I use for koi pond lighting. Not knowing the manufacturer of your porch light and their corresponding specifications I cannot Offer any recommendations. However, I suggest you checkout the measurements specifications to derive your answer.

I used these as a addiction to the lights because I needed to zone in light spread closer …. N.A.S.A.. was emailing me about my house was seen from SPACE STATION..still great look worth the extra mile ..
