Do I need the extension option for path lights and innovator? Do they come with a post?
Yes they come with the post and depending on how long your run is, you might benefit from the extension option. The light can be quite focussed so keep that in mind compared to top hat type path lights.

The unit is approx 25" high. Does it come in a lower height or can the post be shortened?
The height on this fixture is fixed and we do not offer a smaller option at this time.

Great light!
As with all Volt lights, this one is high quality also. The reason I give it only 4 stars has more to do with design. I needed a light I could attach to masonry and angle down for a walkway. The surface mount worked well for this. The light, however, only comes with the 25"" length, which is tall. I bought a 6"" extension thinking I could swap out the 25"" pipe for the 6"" to shorten the light. This did not work as the light as manufactured has male connections at both ends. The extension is female at one end. So it works well, but I wish Volt would offer this light in a shorter size.

Exceeded expectations
I placed three innovator path lights on the side of my driveway. I was worried from the pictures that they might look a little 'futuristic' but when they arrived both wife and I said they looked amazing. They fit in so naturally to our surroundings that I couldn't be happier. One tip, since they are unidirectional I screwed them into the ground stake first then positioned it how I wanted it so when I put the stake in the ground I knew were it would be at (remember to remove fixture before pounding stake into ground!) Can't recommend enough.

Not sure of QC
Ordered 4 lights to accent some large flower pots at entrance of our property. Only 2 of the 4 ordered worked out of the box. I am posting this so you will check fixtures before you invest a lot of install labor only to realize they don't work. I am sure they will replace them, but I wasted a lot of time and now project is still not complete. Bummer.

Path light
It is a good light, but the structural support to hold it in the ground was week. They gave me 6"" stake and I feel it should be deeper stake, at least not less than 10""

I would recommend and will be using this product again
t This is my second order of Brass path lighting from Volt. I was very happy with the exceptional quality of and ease of installation of my first lighting kit. This order was to add additional lighting to my driveway. I will be ordering another lighting kit for my back yard area. I have used other inferior lighting kits in the past. I will only use Volt in the future, it would be hard to beat the quality. very satisfied!

proven reliability and durability
This is my third large installation of Volt products. As usual the fixtures are solid, easy to install and connect, and very adjustable. I wouldn't settle for any other product line. Altogether, I used 2 transformers, 12 mini path lights, 2 tranquility hanging lamps and 2 Pro junction hubs. With a little planning, the entire system was installed in about 10 hours, including wiring and hanging lamps in a tree.

During Install it Fell 3ft onto Concrete and Works Fine
Installed my first one 18 months ago and still looks great. Product is very well made. While setting up my light locations at night I only pounded the stakes in part way. I didn't pound the stake in the ground enough and one fixture fell 3ft from a raised planter to a paver path below. I was surprised fixture was unblemished and light works fine. Shipping was prompt as always.

Great Product!
I installed two of these next to steps in my backyard. They were easy to install, and built well. They provide plenty of light for step illumination. The height of the fixture gives you a good angle for the lighting.
