Is the brightness of the bulb/fixture adjustable?
The brightness is adjustable with the MR16 color changing bulbs, and the beam spread is adjustable with the MR16 Adjustable Beam Angle bulbs.

The spread of light will be determined by what type of MR16 bulb you install in the fixture. We offer 15 degrees, 38 degrees, 60 degrees, or 110 degrees.

Top Dog down light: how is attached to a tree?
This fixture comes with a Brass surface mount that you affix to the tree directly, the fixture itself screws into that mount.

Volt, top dog scotty downward lights
Love these lights, top quality, easy to install, comes with everything you need to complete the installation job. I mounted mine on the side of my shed at top near the roof to shine down on my swimming pool and deck for night time use. Very happy with purchase. Packaged very very well and arrived quickly. Highly recommend these lights and this company. Also customer service is great, they are there to answer any installment questions. Also purchased the budget friendly kit, getting ready to install them soon to light my pathway between my patio and pool and steps conne ted to the pool deck, cant wait. Will update review on that product once installed. Thanks Volt.

Missed the mark.
Missed the mark. Lock screw not matching black. Hole in center of glass cast a weird shadow. I don’t know who said that was a good idea. The only good thing is they finally got rid of the Allen key and finally got the tight knob and the fixture is black.

Received Top Dog Down Lights in a timely manner.
The product is well made and exactly what I need for my overhead garage doors.
I do have to thank Volt Tech Support with help needed to order the proper product for my down lighting application.
It was good to know when you make a call to Volt there is someone that will actually answer the phone and provide the product support needed.

Heft and quality
I’m impressed with the heft and quality of these down lights. I like the all bronze craftsmanship. I also was delighted to find 40’ of landscape wiring connected to each. This effectively gave me extra cabling I didn’t need to buy separately. Easy to install and adjust. I also like the quality of the adjusting knobs—no tools required.

Epic fail
In 2022 I ordered 10 of these lights. Initially they were great until they started to fail. Since 2022 I have had to order 21 replacements for the 10 that I initially ordered. I love that they have a lifetime warranty but every time I need to replace the lights I need to rent a lift which costs $250.00. I have 6 of the Volt path lights and 12 of the deck lights which have never failed.

Only the best - it’s my house.
Style and security is what Volt provides. My home is well lit and I’m very satisfied with the quality. My whole experience began with a phone call to Volt on a Sunday afternoon. The representative provided excellent advice that helped me make my decision. What customer service department located here in the US is open on Sundays? Volt. Easy to install and has a flexible lighting pattern. My lights are installed at the 3 peaks of my roof facing down. Beautiful and affordable.

Great lights. I placed them under my deck to illuminate the porch at night. I also lit a set of stairs from the deck to the porch below. The deck is 12’ off the ground and the lights work perfectly. Right amount of light. Look good. Weather proof. LED. What more can I say, the lights would work great in a tree or on the soffit to light a garage door.
