Does this work in any g4 outlet? Or is the incompatibility have to do with the RF receiver being in your proprietary fixtures and not the bulb?
I'd expect it to work in any G4 outlet. The RF receiver is in the bulb, there is nothing special or proprietary about the fixtures in that respect.

Will these work as replacement color bulbs for the pathlights sold with the Essentials kit (https://www.voltlighting.com/essentials-landscape-lighting-kit)? Similarly, are the MR11 color bulbs you sell compatible with the spotlights sold in this same kit?

Will this bulb work with 12v DC ?
Have not personally tried one on 12VDC but I doubt it would work as the LED is part of an electronic circuit that is designed for 12VAC.

No, these bulbs were only designed to be used for our classic pathlights.

Yes, the last color you choose for each light with the remote will stay the same until manually change with remote.

Does the bulb fit hardscape lighting?
Hello JC,
This bulb currently does not fit in our hardscape lights. Due to it being a bit larger than the standard design. As of currently, it will work with our 12 and 24 inch path light stems.

Overall good; some colors hard to achieve
These are nice and bright and the adjustable color temperature of the white light is very welcome. One thing that's a little disappointing is that with the matching remote, it is difficult to achieve certain colors. I'm not sure if that's a bulb limitation or a remote limitation, but I wanted a nice bright orange for Halloween and the best I could manage was a much redder orange.
I programmed each of my six fixtures onto a separate channel so that I can do different color patterns, like red, white & blue for July 4, red & green for Christmas, etc. If you do that, it's a little difficult to get the colors to match across different channels, because you have to use the scroll wheel each time and it's quite sensitive.

Couldn’t Be Happier!
Excited to have a color bulb replacement instead of replacing the entire fixture. I’ve had Volt for several years and have been happy with the standard warm white uplighting but changing different colors has always been on my mind. I bought the Costco path/flood light pack and was happy to see these were compatible. Setup was a breeze, bulb replacement is self-explanatory, remote works great and you can literally select any color on the color wheel by sliding your thumb around. My system turns on/off automatically with the day/night sensor and the bulbs stay on the color of their last setting. I have alternating colors for flood and path lights and they are even grouped into different zones so I can control multiple lights at once. My recommendation for changing individual bulbs is to be closer to a fixture or the remote could inadvertently change other bulbs. I’ve had these just over a month and have had zero issues! Excited to have a color bulb replacement instead of replacing the entire fixture. Great product
Good color selection. The colors do bleach a little with greater brightness, but for my application they work well. Cool and warm white colors are good as well.

Great bulb.
I was very impressed with this bulb. Very well made, high quality lamp. Plenty bright for path lights with unlimited colors at the touch of a button. Good value for a lamp of this quality. Makes my decorating easier for any holiday or just for a change of style.

RGBW bi pin bulbs finally available.
The bulbs worked great in the pathway lights I had previously purchased from Volt. I set them up with 2 zones, odd (1), and Even (2). This let me set odd to green and even to red for christmas. Normally I keep them on white (I use cool which looks to be about 5000k. I really like setting the color with the remote rather than changing out bulbs like I did in prevails years. Pricey but worth it.
