The Salty Dog family of in-ground lights is the industry’s only line of 3-in-1 fixtures. Essentially, because all of the fixtures are completely waterproof with IP ratings of 68 (which is unheard of in the industry), all of the fixtures in the line qualify as ‘underwater’ lights.
What Does This Mean?
Well lights and in-grade lights have historically suffered from flooding or water ingress which isn’t usually covered by warranties because the fixtures themselves were never designed to be placed in areas that would be susceptible to water in the first place. For a well light or in-grade fixture to offer the waterproof features of an underwater light, this means that homeowners can install these fixtures in their yards with confidence. Gas-tight seals and pressure fit gaskets allow Salty Dog lights to be installed in areas where flooding or flows of water occur. With this level of protection, these fixtures were built to last a lifetime.
These fixtures all come ready to accept MR16 lamps or with our integrated LED technology making them ready to go right from the box into the application. Unique styles are also available for different applications. Essentially, Salty Dog lights are able to provide up-lighting, directional lighting for paths or driveways, and even area lighting depending on the style chosen.
