VOLT® Lighting is excited to announce our 2022 Backyard Photo Contest winners! Our customers submitted many beautiful and impressive backyard landscapes. It was a difficult choice to pick only three winners, but these submissions stood out and captured the essence of what a backyard oasis can be.
Meet VOLT® Lighting’s 2022 Backyard Photo Contest Winners
Congratulations to our first place winner – James Sawyer from Vail, Arizona
In first place we have James Sawyer from Vail, Arizona. He captured this beautiful dusk photo, featuring the VOLT® Salty Dog Turret Top In-Grade Lights, Jolt Mini Brass Spot Lights, and Stratum Brass Two-Tier Path & Area Lights which line the perimeter of the backyard. Combined with the beautiful sunset, inviting pool, and elegant fire bowls, this scene paints a perfect picture of a relaxing resort-style backyard landscape.
Congratulations to our second place winner – Patty Songstad of Edmonds, Washington
Patty Songstad of Edmonds, Washington is our second place winner. This stunning landscape was created using only Top Dog Scotty Spotlights and 7” Flat Hat Path & Area Lights. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but this minimal photo also demonstrates the power of VOLT® Lighting fixtures. Using only two types of fixtures, Patty was able to feature the large, stoic trees in the foreground against the serene, waterscape background. This photo is a great example of how “less is more” in landscape lighting.
Congratulations to our third place winner – Greg Chimenti of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey
Last, but not least, in third place we have Greg Chimenti of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Greg did a wonderful job showcasing his backyard pond and waterfall garden. He used the 2-in-1 Tiki-Brass Torch Light and Salty Dog MR16 Brass Underwater Lights for in and around the pond. In the back of the landscape, illuminating the various trees and bushes, he featured the G2 Brass Fat Boy Spotlights, Cast Brass Round Wall Wash, and Premier Pagoda Brass Path Lights. This selection of lighting allows for a cohesive and well-rounded landscape, highlighting the most important features of this peaceful garden.
